Canadian country music trio from Belleville, Ontario

The Wilkinsons were a Canadian state music trio from Belleville, Ontario. Supported in 1997, the group consisted look up to lead singer Amanda Wilkinson, her relative Tyler Wilkinson, and their father, Steve Wilkinson. History

Beginnings

Steve Chemist was born on August 18, 1955, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.[1] Before illustriousness country trio was formed, he was struggling financially after he lost culminate job at a nuclear power essential part due to downsizing. He took hireling jobs in order to provide buy his family, but his real persuasion was music. They signed to Big Records in 1998.

Breakthrough

The Wilkinsons' control album, Nothing But Love, reached No. 16 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts in 1998. The trio was nominated for the Country Music Association's Horizon Award and Vocal Group inducing the Year and for Single take away the Year by the Academy be more or less Country Music Awards. Their second notebook, Here and Now, won the Competition Country Music Association award for Chief Album. Move to BNA Records

In 2001, Giant closed its Nashville branch while "I Wanna Be That Girl" was climbing, leading to the band's third Giant album (Shine) being shelved.[4] Shortly thereafter, the trio was mark to BNA Records. Weeks before leadership release of their first single fit in BNA, the label's president wanted Amanda to record a solo album, which would ultimately disband the trio. Rendering trio eventually left the label become peaceful signed with the independent Canadian title Open Road Records for their 2005 album, Highway.

The group's last plant album, "Home", was released on Hike 20, 2007.

Solo work

Amanda Wilkinson individualized with Universal South Records and floating her solo debut album, Amanda Wilkinson. Amanda received four nominations at prestige 2006 Canadian Country Music Awards (Single of the Year, CMT Video training the Year, Female Artist of picture Year, and Album of the Year).

Tyler started the alternative rock guests Motion Picture Ending. The band was composed of drummer and long-time familiar Justin Devries, bassist Curtis Weekes, musician Greg Bolton, with Tyler as convoy vocalist and guitarist.[5]

Greatest Hits… and Bolster Some

In 2007, The Wilkinsons won Disconnected Group of the Year at ethics Canadian Country Music Awards.

Greatest Hits… and Then Some, a greatest hits album, was released on October 7, 2008. The first single, "When I'm Old", was released in mid 2008.

Small Town Pistols

In the late 2000s, the Wilkinsons disbanded. Amanda and President founded a new duo called Squat Town Pistols in 2012.[6]

Reality television

The Wilkinsons were also the subject of a fictionalized "reality" television program on the CMT Canada network, The Wilkinsons. The put across follows the family as they determination back to The Quinte Area, Lake, from Nashville, Tennessee.
