Ricardo Baliardo (7 August 1921 – 5 Nov 2014), better known as Manitas hiss Plata ("little hands of silver"), was a French[1]flamenco guitarist of Catalan Gitano descent, born in southern France.[2]

Life concentrate on career

Baliardo was born in a traveller caravan in Sète, southern France.[2]

Nicknamed Manitas de Plata ("little hands of silver" in Spanish), he agreed to evolve in public only ten years provision the death of Romani-Belgian jazz instrumentalist and composer Django Reinhardt, in 1953.[3]

Baliardo attained fame in the United States after a photography exhibition in New-found York, organized by his friend Lucien Clergue. A statue by the sculptor Jean-Loup Bouvier, depicting de Plata playing his bass, was erected in front of Hôtel de Ville, Montpellier, in June 2017.[10]
